Joint Construction of Regional Testing Centers

The Guiyang Municipal First People’s Hospital Regional Laboratory Center, approved by the Guiyang Municipal Health Commission, was established on the foundation of the former Laboratory Department of the Guiyang Municipal First People’s Hospital. By partnering with Guizhou Ankang Medical Laboratory Center—a specialized third-party medical testing laboratory—this center has jointly created a regional medical testing platform for Guiyang City.
The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the First People’s Hospital of Guiyang serves as both the Clinical Laboratory Quality Control Center of Guiyang City and the Standardized Training Base for Laboratory Physicians in Guizhou Province. It is a comprehensive clinical laboratory integrating medical care, education, and research. The department boasts 13 experts, including 3 senior technicians, 1 senior physician, 3 associate senior technicians, and 7 doctoral degree holders—all seasoned industry professionals with extensive expertise in clinical laboratory techniques and management. The team possesses the capability to establish and maintain ISO 15189‑compliant quality management systems, backed by substantial practical experience, and provides specialized support for clinical research services, study design, and biomedical experimentation. Meanwhile, the Group Company maintains a robust network of experts and an R&D team that underpins the regional laboratory center’s scientific innovation and the translation of research findings into real-world applications.
The Guiyang Regional Laboratory Center is equipped with specialized medical laboratories covering clinical testing, biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology, and molecular diagnostics. It boasts an advanced Siemens biochemical‑immunoassay automated line, as well as numerous imported instruments from Hitachi, Roche, BD, Randox, and other manufacturers, enabling the performance of over 2,500 testing items. Since 1986, the department’s various subspecialties have repeatedly earned excellence awards in national proficiency‑testing programs. Moreover, its staff have been approved to lead more than ten national‑ and provincial‑level research projects and have received eight municipal scientific‑research achievement awards at or above the third class.
